He's fat, he's round, he bounces on the ground...
Today is possibly going to be the last time we'll ever see the likes of Shane Warne, Justin Langer and Glenn McGrath in test cricket (unless the Brits manage to hold Australia off for another day, in which case we'll say goodbye tomorrow). Nonetheless, the end is here, and they're ending on a high, taking the Ashes back 5-0 (in all likeliness) - their first whitewash in 86 years.
Warne finishes as one of the most interesting cricketers of all time. He leaves with the record of most test wickets (708 and counting, there's still 5 more wickets left to fall in the England line-up), and of course has his history of controversies which he'll be remembered for.
The Barmy Army will certainly miss taunting the three of them, especially Warne. McGrath is still going to be around though till World Cup 2007, after which he retires from ODIs as well.
Which makes me wonder, how far off are Sachin and Dravid and Kumble? Another world cup for the first two perhaps after 2007? Another year for Kumble?
